We saw Nick Thune at the Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach.
He does this whole Mitch Hedberg-Steven Wright non-sequitir thing...with guitar.
Funny, sure, but a but ill-formed because he seemed to be trying out material, which is always hit-or-miss, but at least interesting to see the process unfold first-hand.
According to his bio:
Comedian/actor/writer/bird owner, is from Seattle, Washington. Nick has been on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno two times. Comedy Central presented a half hour of Nick’s ‘world class’ stand up comedy. Comedy Central also paid Nick to make iThunes, a series of short films for the world wide web. The people wanted more -ABC came calling. Nick is in the process of creating/writing a sitcom, ‘The Nick Thune Experience”. Ruben Fliescher, directediThunes, and writer Bob Fischer, Wedding Crashers, will work with Nick on the project.
