My birthday celebrations finally came to an end with a concert at the Hollywood Bowl.
M. Ward started things off, followed by Yo La Tengo (both with female drummers - cool!). The main act was Bright Eyes with the LA Philharmonic Orchestra (conducted by a woman - cool!).
