The often humorous adventures of a roguish anti-hero of low social degree living by his wits in a corrupt society

A New Number One
Even though she's been losing regularly ever since she found out she could be No. 1, our favorite headcase Jelena Jankovic backed into the No. 1 ranking earlier this week (beating out compatriot Ana Ivanovic by eight points...eight points!).
Oh, and Rafael Nadal finally completed the incredible task of dethroning Roger Federer as the top-ranked player in the world.
His ascent was delayed after an unlikely loss to Novak Djokovic (who, in turn, lost to Andy Murray in the finals of the Cincinnati Masters tournament, Andy Murray!). But come 18 August 2008, Rafael Nadal will be No. 1 in the world.
In fact, Novak Djokovic has a real shot at No. 2 which means that Roger Federer could conceivably ranked No. 3 in the world come the US Open and may meet Nadal before the finals!
Crazy!
