It took great film director Zhang Yimou (ironically, an anti-establishment rebel once upon a time), noted composer Tan Dun, 15,000 (15,000!) performers, and $300 million to pull it off.
But don't tell NBC. They're going to show it all "live" here on the West Coast in a couple of hours, even though the whole affair has been over for over 15 hours.
