(L) Me (R) The Man

I was talking to The Man the other day about working from the regional office which is only 9 miles away from where I live, instead of working from the regional office which is 40 miles away from where I live.

The Man: "No."

Me: "Why?"

The Man: "Because your presence is crucial to foster the kind of team spirit we are trying to build here."

Me: "Actually my absence will probably do more to foster that team spirit."

Crickets.

I guess The Man doesn't have a sense of humor.
