Greg Norman Did Break My Heart

Yes, Greg Norman did break my heart.

I knew he would.

Three straight bogeys to start the final round. A fourth on the sixth hole.

And then, all of a sudden, Padraig Harrington bogeyed three straight holes starting on 7.

And Greg was in the lead again, heading into the back nine.

And, then, bogey, par, bogey, bogey.

And, again, it was all over.

Give Harrington tremendous credit. He won this tournament outright. He could have easily folded it in after that hiccup in the middle, instead he hung tough, hit one good golf shot after, culminating in that incredible, incredible, approach shot on the par 5 17th, before making an eagle. An eagle! I mean, did you see the conditions...an eagle?!

And then to top it all off, Harrington spoke glowingly about Greg during his victory speech, in his press conference afterwards, and in numerous interviews after that.

Gracious winner, nice guy, but still, in the end...

Greg Norman broke my heart.
