Now apparently Coors, you know from all those "Tap the Rockies" TV commercials, is brewed in Golden (wait for it, CO).
The Better Half and I decided to visit the Coors Brewery for a tour that was, wait for it, free.
We were taken through the entire process of beer-making. The details are a little fuzzy. It involved barley, hops, grain, cooking, stuff like that.
The plant itself was fascinating because it was huge, and the workforce was...tiny. Most of it was automated and it was pretty cool to see 30-pack after 30-pack race its way to frat houses everywhere.
Automation? Small workforce? Large industrial areas? Man, if they're not careful we could have a The Wire Season 2 situation on our hands (you know with the Stevedores and all that).
Yo Hispanics, was it your decade after all?
ET drank beer?
But then...there it was...fresh beer...for a "tasting"!
And, best of all, it was free!
With tons of varieties that weren't readily available everywhere.
Beer so fresh it went directly from the plant to the tasting room - never once touching a can or a bottle.
Free, and you got four each (one mid-way through the tour to keep your spirits up then three at the end).
Mmm...fresh...beer...free...
After so much fresh, free beer things got a bit fuzzy!
Thank you Coors. I will now promise to at least consider drinking your product, even if outside Golden (CO) you're not so fresh, or so free.
