Red Rocks, Um, Rocks!

There was no way that The Better Half and I could swing by Golden (you know, CO) and not check out Red Rocks Amphitheatre.



Not only is the amphitheatre itself pretty spectacular, but the setting is simply breathtaking.



That's how you rock it at Red Rocks.








And yes, I too was shocked, shocked to find out that Blues Traveler was still alive!



The visitors' center is very cool and an entertaining way to get an overview of the fascinating history of the place.



The Beatles played here?!



Of course, Red Rocks really became huge after U2 recorded their glorious live album Under a Blood Red Sky which included the stirring anthem "Sunday Bloody Sunday." In a rare display of restraint, Bono never returned realizing that they could never top that performance.
